Stripping pliers are one of the commonly used tools for electricians, motor repair, and instrument and meter electricians. They are also frequently used in daily life. Today, we will introduce how to use wire stripping pliers.
The wire stripping pliers are composed of a knife edge, a wire pressing edge, and a pliers handle. The handle of the wire stripping pliers is covered with an insulating sleeve with a rated working voltage of 500V. Stripping pliers are suitable for stripping plastic, rubber insulated wires, and cable cores. The method of use is to place the wire to be peeled into the edge of the pliers, pinch the two pliers handles with your hand, and then loosen them to release the insulation skin from the core wire. Used to tighten or loosen the wire harness or tube nut on the wire duct, using the same method as an adjustable wrench.
Usage of wire stripping pliers
1. Select the corresponding wire stripping blade based on the thickness and model of the cable
2. Place the prepared cable in the middle of the wire stripping tool blade and select the length of wire to be stripped
3. Grasp the handle of the wire stripping tool, clamp the cable, and slowly apply force to slowly peel off the outer surface of the cable
4. Release the tool handle and remove the cable. At this point, the metal of the cable is neatly exposed, while the other insulation plastics are intact.
